Christine Glidden - Christine has been a resident of N.M. for 25 years. In the spirit of public service, in 1996, she was an appointee of Governor Gary Johnson to the N.M. Board of Nursing (Chair) and the N.M. Medical Board for a period of 6 years. Later, Governor Bill Richardson appointed Christine to the N.M. Arts Commission and later to the Board of Trustees (Vice Chair) for the N.M. Veteran’s Museum, for four years.

Later for 9 years, she joined her husband, Jim, as owners of High Desert Forge, a high-end custom metals fabrication shop. She and Jim worked with local architects, engineers, and contractors on such projects as the International Balloon Museum, the Sandia Casino and Hotel, and San Diego Convention Center.. They designed and fabricated the Tricentennial Towers, the largest public art project in NN and the gates for the Isotopes Baseball Park.

In November 2015, as part of her 501C3 Women To Be, Christine delivered feminine hygiene products to 380 girls in Nepali Refugee Camps. In April 2016, she will trek the Hi- malayas to deliver these washable, reusable products to 1000 girls who live in a poor and remote area of Nepal. Christine is proud to be Founder and Executive Director of this pro- ject. It is her expression of her connection with the planet by elevating the dignity of girls.  In February, 2016, Christine received the highest award from her Rotary District after a search of 68 Clubs.  It is the Service Above Self award for humanitarian giving.
