Rename Cancer

One day I was sitting at my desk thinking about how much charge I feel when I hear the word cancer. Using my imagination I decided to spell cancer backwards and came up with Recnac. I giggled a little and instantly realized that the word cancer by itself wasn’t causing the fear based charge for me as much as the power we as a society have assigned to the word. What we've made it mean. The power we've given away to this disease. I marveled at how the misspelled version of the word caused me absolutely no fear at all and at how quickly I had defused the power of the disease in my conscious emotional state of mind. I began to wonder what if we renamed all the things we feared, gave them new meanings, could we collectively and individually change what we've become accustomed to, what we face as a human race?
