Martha Speed: Foreclosures: Is Now the Time to Buy?

Join Lisa as she interviews Martha Speed,  Manager of Colonial Consulting Group, LLC.  Martha began her real estate investment career in 1982 while being a processor and closer for Mortgage Funding Group until 1990. In this position, she learned about  the documentation and curative title work process for the purchase of owner financed notes.

She has used this background to purchase real estate notes and  buy and sell  REO properties using owner financing and creating a note portfolio.  This knowledge enabled her to start buying mobile home and land deals at bargain basement pricing when most investors had no realization of the opportunity within that niche in the marketplace.   Her husband, Eddie Speed, is a nationally known speaker and owner of “Note School.” He has been an expert in the field of owner financing for over 30 years.

Martha continues to manage her own investment business focused on buying non-performing assets , Speed Investments, LLC, which she started in 2002.  In addition, she acts as a consultant and manager for investors interested in Real Estate and Note opportunities within the distressed debt market with Colonial Consulting Group, LLC.
