When the events of September 11th stunned the entire world, they hit too close to home for Melissa. Her Aunt Arlene T. Babakitis, whom she had been extremely close with all her life, was one of the many who lost their lives within the World Trade Center. That devastated Melissa, but also caused her to write a book called: "Suzanne Lantana"; which is a remarkable book to help kids deal with the loss of loved ones and other feelings.

Since last year when Melissa was on this show, she has started a cause entitled: "Help Support My Heroic Aunt Arlene T. Babakitis and our World Trade Heroic Hero's" where people who purchase her book "Suzanne Lantana" a portion of the proceeds goes into help fund the "National September 11th Memorial and Museum.

Also, Melissa and her father Raymond Pettignano Sr, wrote a song entitled: "Gave you One More Chance", which has started getting radio airplay almost immediately. Melissa's father and her aunt are the Doo Wop group/duo named "Rickie and Vickie". Rickie and Vickie came out with 'Joanie/Why Are You So In Love' in the early 1960's.

Melissa has accomplished all that and so much more in her short 22 years of life and she will share with us today.
