Children should have their first eye examination by 6 months of age according to many nation vision organizations. In children the eye doctor is looking for health issues with the eyes and if correction with glasses or contact lenses is needed. School screens are just that a screening. Dr Terry tucker will be talking about how important having a full exam is for your child as well as the effect of prolonged computer and cell phone, tablet use on childrens eyes. Some specialists believe prolonged computer use by young children might put them at risk for progressive myopia (nearsighedness).
