Dr. Mark W. Hendrickson, author, adjunct faculty member, economist, and fellow for economic and social policy with The Center for Vision & Values at Grove City College, Pennsylvania, a Christian liberal arts college north of Pittsburgh, to mark the 35th anniversary of the upset victory by the U.S. hockey team over their heavily favored Soviet rivals in the 1980 Winter Olympics. Ever since known as the “Miracle on Ice,” Sports Illustrated named that game “the greatest sports moment of the 20th Century.” Read the article: Remembering the "Miracle on Ice" By Dr. Mark Hendrickson.

Mount Vernon City Councilman Richard Thomas attends the show from the bottom of the first hour to distill the gravitas and relevance of New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli's assertions that inefficiencies and discrepancies revealing deficiencies by Mount Vernon Comptroller Maureen Walker, yet to remedied, continue unmitigated by any action and devoid of even a plan of correction.

At the top of the second hour, at 11:00am, Sisters Judy and Catherine two missionary sisters with the Dominican Sisters of Hope, and colleague Gina Ciliberti, speak to the evolution of the order, the recently inaugurated "new" www.ophope.org website, its 160 plus Catholic Dominican sisters who are committed to living and preaching the Gospel message of hope online, as well as among the seventeen states and Puerto Rico they serve largely in justice, social, healthcare, and education ministries.
