Diverticulosis is a condition that describes small pouches in the wall of the digestive tract. About 20% of people with diverticulosis experience additional complications. This condition is quite common and occurs in 10% of people over 40 and 50% of people over age 60. Diverticulosis increases with age and affects almost everyone over age 80. However, these numbers are only a gross estimate as most people with diverticulosis do not experience any discomfort or symptoms. Those who experience symptoms may suffer from abdominal pain, bloating, excessive gas, constipation, bloody stools, fever and chills.
The most common approaches to this issue are medications, rest, antibiotics and surgical intervention. Most of these can be avoided if one is willing to adjust a few lifestyle habits.
Dr. Budweiser, founder of Weiser Living, will share with you his all natural approach to eliminating and preventing new pouches from forming.
