Cardiovascular Diseases (CVD) are the number 1 cause of death globally: more people die annually from heart disease than from any other cause. An estimated 17.5 million people died from CVD in 2012, representing 31% of all global deaths and by 2030 it is estimated that more than 23 million people will suffer and die from heart disease.
The sad part is that cardiovascular disease is largely due to poor lifestyle choices and can almost be completely avoided or reversed if one is willing to address and change certain behaviors and habits.
