The term used in the Holy Bible for seeking to please people rather than God is "fear of man." In the book of John we know that the apostle shares with us how some people rejected Jesus because they were afraid of the consequences: "Many people did believe in him, however, including some of the Jewish leaders. But they wouldn’t admit it for fear that the Pharisees would expel them from the synagogue. For they loved human praise more than the praise of God" John 12:42-43 (NLT).

How often do we put what others think about us ahead of what God thinks about us? It seems we are all about seeking the approval of others by what we are willing to eat, what we wear, what we own, where we shop, and how we look. We are so caught up by what others think of us that we allow such empty approval to dictate our attitude, moods, goals, desires, and even our purpose for living.

As humans living in a fallen existence, we chase after false approval, from those who themselves are without a clue.

Whose approval do you seek first; God's or man's?

You will be pleasantly surprised at what you will discover on this unique edition of Alive in Christ Radio. We will learn how God's truth in aspiring to win man's approval leads to pain, suffering, depression, and despair.

Special Guest: Pastor Bobby Keating. He is the author of "Apply Wisdom to Life's Circumstances," and will share with us how we CAN be abundantly successful in every area of our life by applying God's Word to our every thought, idea, and action.

We round out our program with features including Joyce Meyer's "Everyday Moments", Focus on the Family's Plugged-In Movie Review and Focus on the Family Minute, Beth Moore's "A Quick Word", Luis Palau's "Reaching Your World", and Dave Ramsey's "Daily Money Makeover."
