At this year’s Defense Maintenance and Sustainment training event, a special workshop from Pennsylvania State University will delve into the idea of condition-based maintenance (CBM) for military vehicle health management, fault detection and prevention.

In the following Q&A, Jeff Banks, the Department Head for Complex System Monitoring and Automation for the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State, talks about this issue and programs Penn State is working on to advance CBM methodologies.
