No Greater Love - When Great Darkness Surrounds

Have you ever started out on a long journey, fully confident that you were in the Lord's will and completely at peace, having all the details worked out as best as possible - and fully persuaded that what parts were not firmly established, the Lord would work out?  After all, you have trusted in Him with all your heart and have not leaned on your own understanding. You have acknowledged Him throughout it all and know He will direct your path.

What you forget though is that God's ways are not your ways, and His thoughts are far above your thoughts. You realize that He has heard every prayer; He has honoured all fasting. He who is Faithful and True prepared the way. He shines the light upon the path. With a spring in your step and a happy smile upon your face, you set out -  ready, ever ready to do whatever the Lord asks of you. Or so you thought!

Little did you know what was coming, for the Lord is under no obligation to tell of His plans. He is King of kings and Lord of lords - Sovereign God!

When the rains begin to fall and the winds begin to blowl...when great darkness surrounds your house and you are found clinging to the cross?
