David first burst onto the national scene in the gothic soap opera Dark Shadows as werewolf Quentin Collins. He's also starred in several other TV shows and movies, including a long run on Falcon Crest and co-starring roles with Barbara Streisand, Jason Robards, Jane Wyman, Morgan Fairchild, and many others over a 50-year career in Hollywood.

David is also a prolific writer, and this edition of the podcast was simulcast with David's publisher Headline Books and their Zoom Into Books webcast series.

He is an honorary member of the WVU Creative Arts Center Advisory Board, has worked with the Governor's Arts Academy and has made many guest appearances around the state of West Virginia.

David is a member of the Cleveland Play House Hall of Fame, and, in 1999, he received the Millennium Recognition Award from the Shakespeare Theatre in Washington, D.C. David and his wife, Chip, fund a guest artist series at West Virginia University.
