Most people know there are real problems in our society. A lot of people feel the effects of those problems. However, a few people make it their business, literally to go to work in the system to make changes to the system that make a real difference for a lot of people.  Durrel Douglas is one of those change-makers.

Durrel Douglas recently moved to Washington State from Texas where he was a community organizer. Now Durrel is the  Political Organizer for SEIU 925. However, before Durrel was a super-organizer he was a prison guard and that gives him a very unique perspective on social justice. In a very short time, Durrel's experience and wisdom have become invaluable in the I-873 campaign.

We are going to talk to Durrel about the state of the modern civil rights movement and why I-873 is important in Washington State and for the rest of the country.
