We have finally cracked the code! It took us many committed years of intercultural research, reflection and probing conversation. We found that in order to clearly see into our future we must first take a close look at our past. We noticed patterns throughout history kept repeating themselves and so far apart that none of us lived long enough to grasp them.

Audrone Wippich is a transformational catalyst in the emerging field of planetary consciousness. Born in Lithuania, she now considers herself a global citizen. The beauty, liberty and diversity of San Francisco helped Audrone’s creativity blossom. She found herself in the midst of one revolution, which brought down the Soviet Empire, and then jumping to another. Relentlessly curious about the big picture, she found herself working in the multicultural milieu of Silicon Valley in digital media and marketing. From there, it was a short distance to exploring East/West relations as a means of developing a planetary perspective.

Phil Brattain arriving in San Francisco from Phoenix, Arizona, plunged into social and cultural revolutions while still in school. The region’s diverse international community inspired him to graduate from Cal Berkley in intellectual history, experimenting with the Human Potential movement. Once in the corporate world, Phil found meaning as a peace and environmental activist. His foray into digital media led to international business development in software. Upon meeting Audrone Wippich, Phil was inspired to explore with her the cultural divide of East and West. This book emerges out of their ongoing conversation about matters of ultimate concern. Phil would like to open up this conversation to people everywhere, catalyzing planetary community.
