Pitchers and catchers report next week, and spring training games begin in a little over two weeks. Yes, after a weird winter and an especially boring offseason, baseball is finally knocking on the door, and not a moment too soon. In about 16 days you'll be able to turn on your radio and hear the voices of Dan Dickerson and Jim Price calling games, and at this point, who cares if it's just spring training?

Speaking of Dan Dickerson, the Tigers play-by-play radio announcer joins HookSlide and Rob on this week's show to talk about all the hot topics surrounding the 2017 season: Can the Tigers compete this time around and actually make the playoffs? Will Jordan Zimmermann stay healthy enough to contribute? Can Michael Fulmer repeat his amazing 2016 campaign? Do the Tigers have a center fielder who can patrol that spacious Comerica green with any level of adequacy? And was it wise for Al Avila to move forward with the same roster as last year?

Of course, there are also the usual listener questions to be answered, questions about the team's depth, the impact of the World Baseball Classic (both Miguel Cabrera and Victor Martinez are playing, believe it or not), and the recent low-ball PECOTA projections that predict a third-place finish for the Tigers.

Topics in this week's episode include:
- Did the Tigers cheap out on filling center field?
- Remember Matt Tuiasosopo?
- After 2017, will the Tigers tear it all down and start over?
- PECOTA ... hmpf.
- Dan Dickerson's favorite drink during ballgames
- And more
