Last time we spoke, we thought the Detroit Tigers would either blaze their way to the World Series or flame out spectacularly and miss the playoffs. And we might be right! Unfortunately, we were right for all the wrong reasons last week, as the Tigers stumbled to a 3-4 record in ever-frustrating fashion. The offense isn't hitting, wasting the efforts of a rather strong starting staff, just like we expected.

Fortunately, no other teams have separated themselves in the AL Wild Card race, and the Tigers still have a fighting chance! On this week's episode of The Voice of the Turtle, your fearless co-hosts wrestle with apathy and excitement, trying to determine whether this Tigers team has what it takes to reach the postseason. Can they get there? What will it take? Do they have to reach the postseason to save Brad Ausmus' job? We answer these questions and more on this week's show.

Topics in this week's episode include:
- What the hell happened last week?
- Terry Francona, baseball manager
- Daniel Norris: fire emoji
- How many wins the Tigers need to make the postseason
- Why May 2017 is going to be terrible
- Potential baseball rule changes and how wrong they are
- Listener questions!
- Michael Fulmer's chances at winning some hardware
- Are the Tigers better off without Victor Martinez?
