Eloy Mendez was born and raised in Oaxaca, Mexico. He made his acting debut in the critically acclaimed film Bread and Roses by Lionsgate, directed by Ken Loach and starring Adrian Brody, Elpida Carrillo and George Lopez. The film premiered at the 2000 Cannes Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Palme d’Or Award. He then went on to guest star in numerous television shows, including ER, THE SHIELD, GENERAL HOSPITAL, MONK, NCIS, GIRLFRIENDS and many more.
 
In 2013 Eloy made his debut at the Sundance Film Festival where he co-starred in, C.O.G., which was selected to the Sundance Film Festival. The film C.O.G. was chosen for the opening night for L.A.’s Outfest LGBT film festival and will be released nationwide in the U.S in September. Other films include the Lionsgate release Dishdogz, alongside Luke Perry and Haylie Duff. Medio Tiempo for Showtime, The Price Of The American Dream, The Nevsky Prospect for the new Amazon studios The Wager for IFC and most recently: Stealing Las Vegas, starring Academy award nominee Eric Roberts and produced by legendary producer Roger Corman. The film recently held its’ world premiere at the historic Egyptian theatre. 
 
Eloy has also appeared in many commercials for both, the English and Spanish Market. His theater credits include WICKED, MELANCHOLIA and BOYS NEXT DOOR. Mr. Mendez is also a member of the Latino Theater Company, where he shared the stage with the late Lupe Ontiveros.
