It is easy for us as believers to get frustrated, discouraged, and sometimes angry when our lives don't go as we think they should be going. This is why it is important for us to know and discern from the Spirit of God that our Christian lives are not just about us. We gave God permission to work His will in and through us as He would, not as we would. The Children of Israel were enslaved 400 years before God used Moses to deliver them from the bondage of Egypt. God said before hand to Abraham that their slavery would happen, so it had to happen. It was painful, hard, and demoralizing, but they had to go through it.
