One of the things that Jesus Christ did when He brought the Kingdom of God to earth was cleanse lepers that came to Him for healing. Lepers in Israel were separated from the general population because of their disease and were outcasts from society. They were considered unclean. We are all considered spiritually unclean whether we are sick in our bodies or not if we are not born again. We need the touch of Jesus to make us clean in the way it matters most.
