Breaking chains and bondages through the power of humility

The apostle Paul said in 2 Corr. 10:4-5

 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,

 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Humility is one such mighty weapon of our warfare. As we seek to renew our minds, to have the mind of Christ, let us remember that He calls us to be yoked with Him, to learn of Him because He is meek and lowly in heart - He is humble.  Humility leads us into victory because, in humility, we submit to the will of God the Father, deny ourselves, and take up our cross, just as our Lord Jesus Christ did.  When the Lord took up His cross, He defeated satan, death and the grave. When we are humble and take up our cross, our victory is also secured.
