We continue in grief, as the funeral services for George Floyd have happened in Minneapolis, North Carolina and Houston. There is so much to process right now. People who never say anything are now voicing their disgust in the aftermath of one of the most horrid deaths in current history. People are moving – they are moving leaps and bounds to show frustration in how many people of color have died at the hands of law enforcement officers. Individuals who are not people of color are showing their solidarity to act in the capacity of allies to people of color who are at risk. This country is at a turning point – George Floyd’s death ignited a nation who is angry and in pain. Finally, the voices of people of color are being heard. Where this leads however, only time can tell.

On this week’s episode of “The Race of Relations,” Nikia Miller will discuss the funerals that have occurred for George Floyd all over the nation, as well as the military response to the death of George Floyd. The military response is something that almost never occurs. In this instance, however, several higher-level military personnel have made their voices loud and clear. We will discuss those responses in depth as well as what that means for today’s uniformed services. Show starts at 8:00 PM – lines open at 7:45 PM. Call in at 347-884-9299 to listen or chime in. Looking forward to this week’s episode of “The Race of Relations.”
