"Be perfect -- even as God is perfect."

Far too often we hear that we are wretched sinners in need of redemption. This is truly an elusive concept that has baffled many because it defies both logic and common sense.  The argument that it is beyond our compreshension is a cop out. The pieces just don't fit and it is high time that we began to look deeper. We are not talking rocket science here.    Jesus is not diminished because his teaching has been distorted.  He remains what he is no matter what.  It is our job to seek his message and use it to establish the Kingdom of God here on earth. In this context Jesus said that we are to be perfect just as God is perfect. If he said that we are to be perfect doesn't it also mean that we are capable of perfection? Join us.
