At a time when we see all too clearly the utter disregard forthe value of black lives -- when we see men being slaughtered in front of their families for busted tail lights or selling the latest mixed tape.  When we see the life of a twelve year old snuffed out within seconds of the arrival of the so-called community protectors and hear the declaration of a "good shoot".  We must wonder do we now turn the other cheek -- do we now pray for forgiveness.  Or do we listen to the words of Jesus that so many seem able to ignore. “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. Join us.
