Since time immorial the concept of a supreme being has meant one thing and one thing only -- the power that undergirds the universe. The ancient Kemites (Egyptians) who formulated the first known concept of God and called it the Neter Neteru or "God of Gods" defined God as "the active power that produces and creates in regular recurrence."  The ancient Hebrews and Moses their Kemite (Egyptian) law giver referred to God as ElThe oldest Semitic word meaning "God" is El. Linguists believe its base meaning is strength or power. "El" is the Strong One, or the Deity (God). Though Christian theologians are loathe to admit it El means power. God is Power and Power is God.
