Saving Jesus from the Church

Jesus never asked or directed anyone to worship him. He directed us to worship God.  But he did direct everyone to take up their own cross (not his) and follow him. To follow him does not mean to worship him.  He said there is only one who is good and that is God. We must ask ourselves who was Jesus the teacher and what did he teach? It is time that we stopped worshipping Paul's Christ and started following Jesus as his original apostles and disciples did. it is in following his teachings that we are transformed. In fact, the object of discipleship is now and has always been transformation.
