American Vernacular tackles the hot button political, social, economic and cultural issues facing our nation from an urban perspective.

Today's hodge podge includes:
1) New Hampshire police commissioner RESIGNS! But what does he mean by the president "exceeds" his criteria for being a "Nigger"? I'll give you my thoughts.

2) Police Chief Charlie Beck: Will he stay or will he go? The Los Angeles Times refused to endorse the embattled chief over his decision not to fire an officer involved in a racial confrontation. How can a city as diverse as Los Angeles permit such blatant disregard for the rule of law and maintain a police force that protects and serves the people?

3) Ex-ABC news anchor Carole Simpson eviserates the network for excluding her from the group of female journalists invited to say farewell to the retiring Barbara Walters. Is she right in her criticism? YES! And I'll tell you why.

Tune in and join the conversation.
