   Dominique Friend is an Activist for Sickle Cell Disease Awareness and research who currently resides in Sandy Springs,Georgia. She grew up in Baltimore, Maryland and attended Baltimore City Public Schools. She's a mother of 5 and the grandmother of 2 beautiful girls. Being born with Sickle Cell caused her many issues going to school but inspite of that she received her GED and secondary training in Creative Writing. She is now an Author of her very own Autobiography entitled "SICKLE, A Story of Pain, Purpose and Perserverance". She's an Activist that raises awareness for Sickle Cell Disease and fights to improve treatments for Sickle Cell Disease Patients.
