Angela Vigil of Living Empowered will be interviewing Beth Miles today!

Beth grew up in Winter Haven, Florida and is currently a social worker in Tallahassee. Her passion is working with those who are disabled and with the elderly.  She attended Florida State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Religion and Political Science and Master's degree in Social Work. Beth has also done graduate studies at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.  in theology. She has worked in several correctional facilities, with those living and affected by HIV/AIDS, folks with substance abuse issues, and has been in private practice as a psychotherapist. Beth believes her work with those who are less fortunate, and also those who feel as if they are outcasts in today's society, has enabled her to grow in her compassion and love for others and the world.

Another aspect of Beth's life is that of having the gift of being very empathic in her nature and core being. As a child, she was aware of spiritual beings both seen and unseen.  She likes to describe this as being in touch with the guiding spirits which surround us all and give direction to gain life's abundance. Through her social work, Beth  feels as if she is able to give love and direction to others. This direction is both inward and outward  and not only comes from educational training but also through loving guidance she has gained through her connections in the spiritual realm as well as those connections with family, friends, and those she works with.
