Moment In The Word: So You Think You've Arrival

After Amos was given his assignment to alert the people as to how Yahweh sees them, he began to cry out for in grief for the nation.  How many times have you become aware of the state of the nation and began to pray asking for forgiveness and mercy?  Are there times when your heart as been so broken about the condition of your home, your community that  you just want to give up and run?  In your desperation to feel about have you returned to your old ways of coping?  Have you taken a shortcut and feel like you  have run into the blessings of Yahweh?

This evening we will continue in Chapter 6 in the Book of Amos.  Great wealth and a comfortable life style may have you feeling secure.
