The Skeptic's Dictionary defines "Woo" (or "Woo Woo") as: ideas considered irrational or based on extremely flimsy evidence or that appeal to mysterious occult forces or powers.
"Woo" is concerned with emotions, mysticism, or spiritualism; other than rational or scientific. It often takes legitimate scientific theories or concepts and spins them into thick, often spiritual assertions about the world and universe. Sometimes it's just a nonsense claim with zero evidence and zero credibility. And it's everywhere. On this show, we'll talk about "woo." Share you stories, your perspectives, your experiences.
