Skrap is out this week, folks; guest hosting w/ Rod is local poet/Atlanta native and sports nut, Reggie a.k.a. I.C.O.N Poet. He will be bringing his "special" version of insight into The Tent tonight at 9:00pm!

On June 8th, the last of the Atlanta Braves’ “Big Three” will be forever immortalized in the lore of Atlanta baseball history. John Smoltz, the heart and soul of the Braves dominant pitching staff of the 90’s will have his number 29 retired by the club and it’s only right that the Tent Crew pay homage to the man that provided so many memories in helping turn the Braves from perennial laughingstock to annual postseason threat.

The 2012 NFL Schedule is out and the Falcons have what has been deemed the 24th most difficult schedule in the NFL, 4 prime time appearances with three of those in the friendly confines of the Georgia Dome. We’ll discuss the Falcons chances with this schedule as it signals the official start of the 2012 season.

The Hawks getting that 3 seed that we talked about last week is a no go as Indiana has run out to a 3.5 game lead in that spot but the Hawks could jump up into the fourth position and host a 1st round series if they catch Boston, they can get a good jump on that by beating Boston when they visit Philips next week but careful, slip up and Orlando will catch us and we’ll slip back into the 6 spot. We’ll look at the remaining schedule and see what the Hawks chances are for the remainder of the season and the playoffs.

The biggest UFC fight in years is this Saturday here in Atlanta between Rashad Evans and Jon Jones and our boy from “Parts Unknown”, Boyd, will break that down as it is surely going to be a gigantic matchup.
