MB Rotary Poverty Simulation

Our guests this morning are Ken Deemer and Annie Hendrickson from the Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach.

Ken Deemer is dedicated to helping entrepreneurs achieve their vision as an executive coach, mentor, board member, and investor. He is the Past President of the Manhattan Beach Rotary Club and founding partner and former Chairman of Los Angeles Social Venture Partners, a group of individuals who contribute their time, money, and expertise to promote philanthropy in Los Angeles, and to help nonprofits become more effective. The organization also produces the annual Social Innovation Fast Pitch, of which he was a co-creator.

Annie Hendrickson has been a Manhattan Beach resident since 2014 and is the current Community Service Director for The Rotary Club of Manhattan Beach. In her position, she facilitates many of the philanthropic community service outreach work in and around the South Bay and its immediate communities. She is also the Event Chair for the upcoming Poverty Simulation. Prior to becoming a full-time mom to her two children, she worked in both financial services and consumer products industry.

The Manhattan Beach Rotary will present a ‘Poverty Simulation’ on Saturday, March 14 starting at 8:30 a.m. at the Joslyn Community Center and this morning, we’re going to learn what attendees can expect.
