Our guests this morning are Dr. Marcus Goodloe, Tonya McKenzie and Captain John Naylor, all three are here in their capacity as representatives of the RBPD Community Engagement Board.

Dr. Marcus "Goodie" Goodloe is an educator, speaker and the RBPD Chaplain. Goodie is an active volunteer at Wave Church and an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University.

Tonya McKenzie is the owner of Sand & Shores PR Firm, president of the North Redondo Beach Business Association, member of the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, RB GPAC, and Chairwoman of the inaugural MLK Jr. Celebration. Tonya is also the author of A Child’s Memories of Cartoons & Murder. She is an impactful speaker, promoting leadership through storytelling, public relations, and identity branding. She believes it’s what brings people together, not what divides them.

Captain Jon Naylor is a South Bay native. He has been with the Redondo Beach Police Department since 1993 and now leads the RBPD Community Policing Board and other special programs that the department runs to keep the community safe and unified.

This morning, we’re going to learn about the inaugural MLK Jr. Celebration taking place this coming Monday, January 20 at 5 p.m. at Redondo Beach City Hall, and what attendees can expect.
