Nellie Ambrose, YEA Program Manager

Our guest this morning is Nellie Ambrose, Program Manager for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy.

Nellie started her career working for IBM but soon became an entrepreneur and has dabbled in new business ventures for the last 25 years, including “Sweet Nellie’s” her home based square cupcake business she started while living in Virginia. Currently, Nellie is entering her third year as Program Manager for the Young Entrepreneurs Academy and is also working on what she hopes will be her most gratifying accomplishment, Walk the Ridge, which is a social movement to restore civility, kindness and inclusion among people of different opinions and ideologies.

Nellie was born and raised in St. Louis, MO and lived in 8 different cities before landing in Manhattan Beach five years ago. She was a member of Leadership Manhattan Beach class of 2016, is on the board of the MB Hometown Fair, and volunteers her time with several worthy causes including the Special Olympics.

This morning, Nellie will bring us up to date on this year’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy and we’ll learn a bit about Walk the Ridge.
