Our guests this morning are Jan Fleming and Sandy Savaiano from the Neptunian Women’s Club.

Jan Fleming is a California native. She moved to Manhattan Beach from Irvine in 1986 with her family. Jan majored in Education with an emphasis on elementary teaching. Volunteering has always been a major part of Jan’s life. She’s worked with CHOC Hospital Guild and the Young at Art program, was a PTA President and Brownie Leader, and she sat on the Board of Governors at MCC and the USC Town and Gown Scholarship Committee.

Since retiring in 2015, Sandy Savaiano has become a professional “volunteer.”  She has held volunteer positions with The Plato Society of Los Angeles, Beach Cities Health District and Neptunian Woman’s Club where she holds the position of CO-VP of Asset Management, and was responsible for the Neptunian Clubhouse renovation, as well as Chair of the Capital Campaign. Her professional career was in the telecommunications and financial services industries. Sandy has called Manhattan Beach home for over 40 years.

This morning, we’re going to learn about the nearly completed, extensive renovation of the Neptunian Clubhouse and the Welcome Back Beach Bash fundraiser taking place on Saturday, May 11.
