This morning, we’re going to get a little Hermosa history lesson from our guests - Maureen Ferguson Lewis, Joe Nolte, and Adam Malovani.

Maureen Ferguson Lewis has lived in the South Bay since 1999, is extremely active in the community, and passionate about giving back through work with non-profits. She was a member of the first class of Leadership Hermosa in 2003 and elected Director the following year.

Joe Nolte’s family stayed repeatedly in Hermosa throughout the sixties and moved there permanently in the summer of 1972. He moved out of the family home when he turned 18 but returned a few years later, ostensibly to go back to school, but in reality, to have a garage so he could form a Punk band.

Adam Malovani’s background is in product development and marketing of consumer products. He started his career in the toy business and was with Mattel for 10 years.  Adam has been a serial entrepreneur for most of the last 25 years, launching and selling several companies.

The Mural #8 Unveiling & Fundraiser takes place on Tuesday, October 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 13 Street and Hermosa Avenue. The unveiling is open to the public, tickets for the reception at The Standing Room are $100/$150.
