Tony West, SCORE

Our guest this morning is Tony West.

After graduating from the University of the Pacific in 1962 with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management, Tony moved to Manhattan Beach to start a career in manufacturing. He worked for Willamette Industries, a major manufacturer of paper and packaging products. In 1970 he started his own business, Corrugated Specialties, Inc. and began manufacturing corrugated shipping containers and displays in a building slightly larger than a garage. In 1994, he sold his company to Union Camp Corporation. It had grown to $25 million in annual sales and a staff of 120, and continues to operate today as part of Fiber Containers, Inc. In 1998, Tony retired and started his service with SCORE, the volunteer organization of the SBA, where he helps clients with start-ups, refocusing, cash management, and mergers and acquisitions. Tony lives in Hermosa Beach with his wife Linda, where they enjoy hiking, travelling and visiting their children and grandchildren.

Tony has SCORE appointments every Thursday at the Manhattan Beach Chamber office and this morning, we’re going to discuss how his services can help you and your business succeed.
