Being able to look in the mirror and like what one sees creates a positive self-image, which translates into how we interact with others and how others look at us.  This is an essential lesson found in BODY, MIND, & MOUTH:  Life’s Eating Connection, by Margaret Marshall, founder of the Why Weight coaching method. “Your thoughts control your eating and your weight,” she says.

When the person looking into the mirror is unhappy with what he or she sees, this can lead to a vicious cycle of self-fulfilling doubts and negative thinking.  But there is another option:  seize the opportunity to make behavioral and lifestyle changes that will in turn transform one’s self-image.  Most people understand that they are in control of what and how they eat.  Unfortunately, there can be a daily disconnect regarding one's body, mind, and mouth, very often lasting for years.

In BODY, MIND, & MOUTH, Marshall draws insights and lessons from her clients' lives, along with her own experiences, to illustrate how “our minds affect our mouths, how our mouths affect our bodies, and how a shift in thought can benefit our health and wellness”.
