PART 2 of our Trayvon Martin Coverage!

Join us on Savvy Talk Radio as we continue to discuss the tragedy surrounding the death of 17 year old Trayvon Martin.

I was listening to Burce Springsteen's "American Skin (41 Shots)" a song he wrote about slain African immigrant Amadou Diallo and it made me wonder how could we be in this place again?

We had Diallo, Sean Bell, Oscar Grant, Robert Tolan Jr., Rekia Boyd and countless other men and women of color who have been shot or killed and justice never served.  We marched and protested but yet it seems as though a lot of our pleas for justice is falling on deaf ears because here we are again discussing the issue of  racial profiling and why it appears as though a black life is considered a worthless life.

This past week there was more information that came out surrounding the tragic events.  A surveillance video showing alleged shooter, George Zimmerman, after shooting Martin has further spurred outrage.  Zimmerman claimed that Trayvon beat him to within an inch of his life, but yet there appears to be no injuries on him.

Those that are supporting Zimmerman say that people are rushing to judgment, but can we really rush to judgment if no one is ever arrested?

How can we ever heal this country around the issue of race if there are those of us who refuse to discuss the issue or listen to our cries for help?
