Scandal Surrounding Bishop Eddie Long and the Implications for the Black Church

The Christian community was recently rocked when scandal erupted surrounding the megawatt pastor of megachurch New Birth Missionary Baptist, Bishop Eddie Long. Four lawsuits have been filed against Long in which each of the defendants claim that he used his role as church leader to coerced them into sexual relations. Whether these charges prove to be true or false there are huge implications for the chrisitan community and the black church in particular.
