Join us as we delve into the interesting, offbeat, world of raising llamas. Mark MacNamara, co-owner and proprieter of Moonlight Llamas discusses raising llamas and the uses of llama fiber. Moonlight Llamas is a small llama farm dedicated to producing and promoting llama fiber products Located in Montpelier, Vermont currently with 7 wonderful llamas who provide fiber for a variety of specialty items. Baby booties, broad brim felt hats, earrings, felt soaps, fiber planters, juggle balls and more as well as excellent manure for our gardens. The products are sold at the Capital City Farmer's Market and several fall and holiday craft shows. Jan has been raising llamas for almost 20 years and Mark joined her in 2003. Jan shears the llamas, processes the fiber and makes the products while Mark has taken over the day to day care of the llamas. So don't miss out on this interesting show!
