This week we welcome author and speaker Mary Suzanne Lopez to the show.

She has been from the Texas border to Venezuela, married a Cost Rican and lived in Costa Rica for four years. He was hired on in the banana plantations of legendary Coto Valley and their first baby was born in a jungle dispensary.

Living there for a year and a half, she was immersed in the culture, language and strange customs of its people and became roughly familiar with its tangled network of the dust roads. Eight years later, these roads would lead her through the jungle in a mad dash for freedom as she rescued her three kidnapped children.

Ms. Lopez then remarried, had three more boys and now lives a quiet life in the little town of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Her children grown and gone, she has realized a dream of thirty years by writing her harrowing experiences in the creative non-fiction, All the Way Home.
