Mia is a native Houstonian but has traveled extensively throughout different regions of the world. She began her freshman year of college at Texas Southern University in Houston, TX before relocating to Dallas, TX where she completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in both Communications and Biblical Studies at Dallas Baptist University. Mia remained in Dallas for almost 8 years working and has held jobs in both mental health and social work. She worked for the State of Texas as an investigator while completing her Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University Dallas. Afterwards, she pursued further professional development working as a psychotherapist and assessment clinician in Pittsburgh, PA until her relocation to Seoul, South Korea. Currently, she is matriculating at the doctoral level in Christian Psychology under the academic and professional training of the National Christian Counselors Association in conjunction with Cornerstone University. Currently, Mia is a state investigator with the Department of Family and Protective Services, and is the CEO and Founder of The Nathan Consortium.

In addition to her academic and professional achievements, Mia has been in ministry for almost 15 years and is an ordained minister of the Gospel. She has served under the leadership and actively ministered on the ministerial staff at Potter's House Church of Dallas. She has also served as a minister of worship in Seoul, South Korea at Onnuri English Ministry during her tenure overseas.

In short, Mia is a voice of integrity, advocate for the abused, therapist by trade and preacher by calling, adventurous world traveler, passionate author and controversial blogger, proud daughter, cool sister, favorite aunt, mentor, and friend to many!
