To the dismay of some, and the satisfaction of others, the Mets stay relatively quiet at the trade deadline.  This of course brings into question the organization's future plans and direction.  In the meantime, fans bid farewell to bullpen closer Jeurys Familia, and to one of the team's more endearing players over the last few years, Asdrubal Cabrera.  However, a few new names are changing the narrative of late at Citi Field.  Austin Jackson is providing the Mets a lift in center field, while Las Vegas call-up Jeff McNeil has many wondering if the Mets have found their second baseman of the future.  Also, both David Wright and Jay Bruce are on the comeback trail, while Jacob deGrom continues his bid to win the Cy Young award.  And wouldn't you know, here we are in the dog days of summer, and the Mets are suddenly playing up to expectations - too late?  A Metsian Podcast will touch em all.  Michael Lecolant will host Thursday's evening's Metsian Podcast, and will be joined by MetsMusings.com's Gary McDonald.  They'll additionally take some time to discuss the Brooklyn Cyclones, and delve into players who've worn #16 in Mets history.  The show starts 8:00pm sharp, EST.  Of course, you're always welcome to call and join the discussion @ 646-787-1919.  #LGM
