Good morning, today on The Meter we will cover the unprecedented raid on President Trump's Mar-A-Lago Estate by the FBI. The FBI took an estimated 20 boxes of documents that they claim contained "possible" classified information. President Trump was not present and released a statement saying his Estate was under siege and that no classified paperwork existed at his Florida home. Attorney General Merrick Garland waited 3 days before speaking about the raid saying a tip led to his decision. Christina Robb, a Trump attorney said the President was working with the FBI and that the FBI had visited Mar-A-Lago in June and even suggested an extra lock in the secured area where the documents were stored. The FBI went straight to the room and cut off the locks and seized the contents. First Lady Meliana Trump's closet was also searched. Joe Biden claims no prior knowledge to the raid. Is this an obvious overreach by the FBI and proof of it's weaponization by operatives? Also, the Biden administration is concluding a deal with Iran that would free $275B of frozen assets to the Iranian government. Iran would be permitted to use nuclear materials for power plants concerning critics that this will lead to a nuclear weapon. Israel is also objecting that Iran will fund terrorist activities against their country. This deal is moving forward despite the revelations that Iran tried to assassinate John Bolton and Mike Pompeo. Is this a signal that America is completely abandoning the region? Also, the Inflation Reduction Act has passed the Congress giving Joe Biden a major legislative victory. The $739B bill will push climate change regulations, cap costs to the ACA and hire 87,000 IRS agents to enforce tax payments. Will this reduce inflation or push the Democrat agenda.
