Dylan Perry is the Associate Director of Lasallian Volunteers-- a Catholic formation program for educators and social service professionals through the De La Salle Christian Brothers. He oversees and supports 53 longterm volunteers in 28 ministries across 17 states. The program supports and develops young educators and leaders in the areas of Faith, Service, and Community over the course of 1-2 years of service. Dylan served as a Lasallian Volunteer after graduating with his B.A. from Christian Brothers University in Memphis. He served as a counselor and teacher in an inner city Catholic High School in Philadelphia. His faith had always been an important motivator for service and his academic study of religion, and the force that called him to volunteer. However, the experience of living in intentional religious community coupled with purposeful reflection and development as an educator, leader, and servant made my year in Philadelphia one of the most formative of his life so far. After that year, he moved to Little Rock to get a Masters in Public Service, motivated by his year as a teacher. It was almost providential that when he completed school, the position that he currently holds opened and he is able to use his knowledge, passion, and skills to support and help form up and coming educators, leaders, and servants motivated by a call for justice and strengthened his the faith and zeal of God.
