Thick vs. Fat... What's the difference?

Do you think there's a difference between what men and women / whites or blacks consider "thick" or "fat"? Are men more forgiving of extra weight because they seek a thick woman? Do women put a lot of pressure on themselves to be thin, or pressure on other women to be thin. Lately it seems that men like a little extra weight on a woman when it come to breast and butt. But how do you feel?
