Women Health Alert : The Joy of Home Birth with Lorri Carr and Kristin Eggleston

Lorri Carr is a direct-entry Licensed Midwife with over 25 years of birthing experience. She had all of her own 5 children out-of-hospital, and was a nursing mother for about 10 years, so she came to the profession from the perspective of an experienced, and well-researched mother who understood the value of all that comprehensive midwifery care offers to families.

Her formal education includes a degree in Pre-Med Biology, undergraduate study at Seattle Midwifery School, and graduate study at Midwives’ College of Utah which will soon result in a Masters of Science in Midwifery as well as CPM certification.

Lorri devote full time effort to hers, and Kristin's home birth clients, training also beginner midwifery students. Her own businesses are Highland Midwife Birth Services and Silver Sage Herbal Tinctures in Goldendale, Washington.

Kristin M. Eggleston, Licensed Midwife, CPM, Kristin Eggleston owns Sunrise Midwifery in Prosser, Washington. She is a direct-entry midwife,license in April 2009. She is also a nationally-accredited Certified Professional Midwife.

Her formal education includes a BA in Anthropology from the University of Notre Dame in 1996, undergraduate study at Seattle Midwifery School, and Lewis Clark State College, and a BA in Midwifery from Midwives College of Utah in 2009. Her clinical training includes office experience with family practice and OB/GYN doctors, out-of-hospital births with homebirth midwives in Washington and Idaho, birth center births at Casa de Nacimiento in Texas, and hospital and birth center births in Idaho.
