Why do people do the things they do?

It's a good question, one that TheConversation's host, Cathy Brooks, has been asking since childhood. It's the reason she started this show - to dig into the behaviors and sociology behind the business and technology in our lives. NY Times Journalist Charles Duhigg was asking the question too, and he put on his investigative journalism hat and did what any self-respecting investigative journalist would do - investigated. The result is his new book: "The Power of Habit", which delves into the science of habit formation. The book hits stores (virtual and otherwise) this week, and today he joins Cathy to talk about it.

The Conversation is not about technology. It's about what you do with it. Jumping from this basic premise, each week The Conversation's Executive Producer & Host Cathy Brooks explores the bits and bytes that are changing the way people get and share information, interact and the way in which this is fundamentally changing social and professional interactions. Each week guests ranging from up and comer entrepreneurs to seasoned influencers and everyone in between join Cathy to talk about what they do, why they do it and how their personal story fits into the mix.
