Here's what this week's show isn't about. It isn't about the lack of women in influential positions. It's not about disparity between genders in business. This week's episode focuses on the kick ass women who are, well, kicking ass and taking names. First up, Shaherose Charania - equal parts savvy business woman and force of nature and also the driving force behind Women 2.0. They have a conference coming up. Also this week since Sundance is taking place in Park City, UT, it seems fitting to be featuring a guest who is bringing a screening of a Sundance 2011 film to San Francisco. By day  Leanne Pittsford heads StartSomewhere a digital/web agency. Also by day and occasionally by night she fights the good fight for LGBT equality - sitting on the board of StartOut and previously having worked at Equality California. This week she's hosting a screening of Misrepresentation in San Francisco.

The Conversation is not about technology. It's about what you do with it. Jumping from this basic premise, each week The Conversation's Executive Producer & Host Cathy Brooks explores the bits and bytes that are changing the way people get and share information, interact and the way in which this is fundamentally changing social and professional interactions. Each week guests ranging from up and comer entrepreneurs to seasoned influencers and everyone in between join Cathy to talk about what they do, why they do it and how their personal story fits into the mix.
